About me

Thank you for visiting my profile. I appreciate it is not the easiest thing for you to reach out when you not feeling ok.

Life brings us plenty of challenges that can spiral into overwhelming muddle of emotions. We all have a mental health and we all can struggle with it from time to time. It is ok to not feel ok. You are not alone in feeling this way.

Perhaps you are confused about what is going on and what it is that you are looking for. Perhaps you are not feeling as your usual self anymore. Perhaps you have been experiencing some strange changes. Perhaps you have not felt right for a very long time.  Perhaps you know exactly what you need, but it is hard to achieve it.

It is hard to walk this path unaccompanied without clarity on how to get from point A to point B. Together we can unravel the confusion, break the bars of stuckness, come to terms with past, find clarification for future and ways of coping for here and now.

I am professional who value privacy, genuineness, safety and non-judgemental approach in all aspects of my work. I work in an integrative way which means I'm able to adjust to your peace and needs to allow you to get the most out of the experience. This is your time and space to stop, seat back and breath. Together we can reflect on what is happening in your internal and external world so that you can feel more aware and in control.

What to expect in your first session.

The first session is a great opportunity for us to meet and greet one another, whether this be at my private practice, via telephone or online. We will explore how counselling may help and if counselling is suitable for you at this time. My private and comfortable room is based in my home in Worcester.

The importance of a therapeutic relationship

It is important to find the right counsellor for you so you can really get the most from your sessions. I offer a free 20 minute consultation where we can discuss how I may be able to help you and you can decide if you would like to continue with counselling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
