About me
Thank you for visiting my profile.
You may already feel clear about what you need—if so, you’ll find more information below about how I work, my experience, and my values.
If you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you, that’s completely understandable. Reaching out when you’re not feeling okay—or when you don’t fully understand what’s going on—can feel difficult. If something here resonates with you, it may be a sign that you’re ready to take that first step toward support.
In my experience, counselling can be a powerful and supportive approach to a wide range of life challenges, whether they feel simple or complex. It is not only helpful for mental health concerns, but also for personal development, improving quality of life, and building self-awareness, autonomy, balance, and a sense of fulfilment.
You may feel confused about what is happening, or not quite like yourself. You may be noticing changes you don’t fully understand, or perhaps you’ve been struggling for a long time. Or you may know what you need, but find it difficult to move forward.
It can be hard to navigate this path alone, especially without clarity on how to move from where you are to where you want to be. Together, we can explore what’s going on, gently work through areas where you may feel stuck, make sense of past experiences, and find ways of coping in the present while moving toward the future you want.
I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported. I work in an integrative way, adapting to your pace and individual needs so you can get the most from the process. This is your time and space to pause, reflect, and better understand both your inner and outer world—so you can feel more aware, empowered, and in control.
What to expect in your first session.
The first session is a great opportunity for us to meet and greet one another, whether this be via telephone or online. We will explore how counselling may help and if counselling is suitable for you at this time.
The importance of a therapeutic relationship
It is important to find the right counsellor for you so you can really get the most from your sessions. I offer a free 20 minute consultation where we can discuss how I may be able to help you and you can decide if you would like to continue with counselling.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My work often focuses on relationships—whether that is the therapeutic relationship, your relationship with yourself, with others, or with the wider world. I also explore relational trauma and how early relationships, including those with parents, can shape current experiences.
While this may not always be obvious at first, I often find that many challenges—such as addiction, depression, stress, work-related difficulties, or intrusive thoughts and behaviours—have roots in how we relate to ourselves and others.
In our work together, we may explore your sense of balance, connection to your authentic self, personal responsibility, and capacity for trust. We also look at your values—such as joy, love, compassion, and forgiveness—and how these are reflected in your life.
This can include exploring core beliefs, communication patterns, health, work ethic, discipline, gratitude, intuition, and your sense of connection. Through this process, you can deepen your self-awareness, understand different parts of yourself, and begin to let go of beliefs or patterns that no longer serve you.
We may also explore family and childhood influences to help you gain clarity around your sense of self, purpose, and fulfilment.
