About me

Are you looking to understand yourself better? To heal from a painful life event or to reduce your anxiety and stress levels? If so therapy can help and together we can support your journey toward health and healing.

I am fully trained and qualified:

  • Counsellor
  • Psychotherapist
  • Coach
  • Yoga Teacher & Therapist
  • Meditation Teacher
  • Breath-work facilitator

Every journey of self-discovery begins with one simple step. However daunting that first step may seem, counselling and coaching will support and guide you, from start to finish.

If you suffer from anxiety or low mood and need help to navigate your way through current challenges, family issues, low self-confidence and painful events such as bereavement I'm certain therapy can help.

Counselling is to have someone walking side-by-side with you, learning from your past to put you on the right path and navigating the hazards to give you strength and courage to continue your onward journey.

Coaching is to look boldly into the future and design a fulfilling life you can aspire to. A meaningful life that has its foundations in your unique strengths and core values.

About Lucy:

“Our bodies are much more than ‘taxis for our brains".

That’s why my personal approach to counselling respects and validates our bodies, and their unique language, as much as our minds.  Calming techniques are shared such as breath work, meditation or body scans helping you to stay in the present moment and reduce anxiety or panic.

Specialisms:

While therapy is beneficial for all I have some areas of specialism.  These include:

  • Bereavement Therapy
  • Grief
  • PTSD
  • Chronic pain

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been working privately with clients as a yoga, breath-work and meditation teacher since 2010, incorporating counselling and coaching work since 2022. Working therapeutically with hundreds of clients has taught me one key thing:

“We are all ultimately searching for health, to feel truly whole.”

I have been awarded a level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Coaching from The University of East London. This unique, pioneering course takes a fully integrated 360-degree view of every person, seamlessly and progressively exploring their past, present and future dynamics within the therapy space.  We integrate counselling and coaching to support you in all aspects of your journey through life.

Modalities integrated:

  • Person Centred
  • Psychodynamic

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
