About me
Why start therapy?
Life can feel overwhelming, and therapy is there to offer a light of clarity and calm in an often hectic and muddled world. I offer a space where you'll be fully seen and heard without judgment or criticism. I provide a fully integrated approach to psychotherapy and counselling, holistically supporting your journey towards health, healing, and change.
Every journey of self-discovery begins with a simple step. However daunting that first step may seem, I will support and guide you from start to finish, allowing you an enhanced sense of wholeness.
How I work
I specialise in Internal Family Systems (IFS), offering you a way to understand yourself with compassion, creativity, and courage. IFS is a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self.
The Body Keeps the Score author, Dr Bessel van der Kolk, hails IFS Therapy as: ‘The treatment method that all clinicians should know to treat clients effectively.’
Together, we can explore your complex inner system and journey toward more health and happiness.
Sessions help you better understand your inner world, heal from painful life events, reduce stress and anxiety, and boost mood and energy levels.
Who I am
I am a qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Coach, trained to Level 7 through the University of East London. I am also a Level 2-trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist and an experienced Meditation, Breathwork, and Yoga Teacher since 2010.
My approach
My approach respects and validates our physical experiences and sensations alongside our many thoughts, internal parts, learned behaviours, and changing emotions.
I share calming techniques such as breathing practices, meditation, or body scans, helping you stay in the present moment as you explore your past and look towards your future.
About you
Perhaps you’re feeling stuck, lost or broken. You might be experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, depression or a sense of confusion mingled with critical thinking and extreme behaviour.
Grief may be in your body as you grapple with the pain of a bereavement. There may be past traumas that continue to haunt you and wounds that are not yet healed. Equally, you may be facing the everyday challenges and complexity of neurodiversity.
There are many reasons why working together can help you to see clearly and find more calm and joy in your life.

If you're curious to learn more, get in touch, and together we can explore your inner world and discover your unique path to recovery.

I work both in person in my private therapy room in Tunbridge Wells and online via Zoom.
Client Reviews:
"Lucy has a rare way of guiding you—gently, thoughtfully, and with real depth. She creates a space where you feel safe enough to explore the parts of yourself you might usually avoid. Through Internal Family Systems, she helps you connect with the different parts of you with compassion and curiosity. With her support, you can feel and release emotions from the past without getting caught in the story, which feels incredibly freeing and light. There is something powerful in how she works: bringing clarity where there was confusion, calm where there was overwhelm, and a deeper connection back to yourself. She holds space with a quiet, poetic presence—gently supporting you through the process of becoming, where old emotions can soften and release without judgment. She is, without question, one of the most amazing people I have ever met: a fountain of wisdom, endlessly creative, deeply kind, and profoundly supportive. Working with Lucy feels like being guided home to yourself—with a sense of freedom you didn’t know was possible." Embark Client 2026
"I’ve visited various therapists over the years, costing thousands of pounds, and with very limited results. Being someone with an active imagination (rather than being academic), I immediately took to Lucy’s IFS sessions from day one. Coming out of the first session was like I’d just woken up and seen something clear and simple, yet profound, for the very first time. It was genuinely a WOW moment. Lucy is excellent at talking you through the IFS experience, what it does and how it can help you. Or rather, how you can help yourself. It was the first time in my 60-plus years I knew something was going to change, and it did. Lucy is a genuinely warm, kind and lovely person who also happens to be a superb psychotherapist." "I can’t recommend Lucy enough. From our very first session, she made me feel safe and comfortable as if I could really open up without judgment. What stood out to me most was how insightful she is, she doesn’t just listen to what you’re saying but picks up on things you didn’t even realise you were feeling or thinking. She’s incredibly professional but also compassionate. It’s a balance that makes you feel completely heard and understood while still being gently guided to see things in a new way. Her warmth and care always came through, and I knew I was in good hands every session. Thanks to Lucy, I’ve gained so much clarity and confidence. She’s given me tools that I know I’ll carry with me for a long time. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and can help you grow, I can’t imagine a better therapist than her." Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
