About me

I am an integrative therapist, which means I take more than one school of psychotherapy into account. Especially I draw upon Freudian, Jungian, and existential approaches. People often come to see me when they are fed-up of suffering and sense there is a better life available to them. Other times perhaps when a life-crisis comes, or for couples when both parties want to work on their intimate relationship.

Therapy is a cathartic and impactful experience because it helps people resolve unwanted emotional life-patterns or behaviors, clearing the way for a more fulfilling life. My sessions are non-judgmental and are designed to help you explore parts of your life in a way that is contained within a warm and confidential relationship. The overarching aim is to help you to overcome the reoccurring troubles that are bothering you, and cultivate the personal qualities that best serve you.

Whatever brings you, I believe that distressing problems-anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, loss, life-stasis, depression- are most effectively resolved with some help. Please feel free to contact me via email to arrange a free 20-minute zoom consultation to find out more about how therapy can help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an experienced and fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor. I spent five years training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in Little Venice, London, and currently continue to undergo extensive ongoing training as a member of the BACP, a UK governing body for psychotherapy and counselling.

I have worked in both long-term psychotherapy in my private practice and in shorter-term NHS settings, as well as for addiction rehabilitation clinics and universities across London. I was born in London in 1979 and came to psychotherapy by way of an interest in philosophy and Eastern contemplative practices.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
