About me

I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to talk through whatever may be troubling you, whether it is past or present.

In therapy we can explore your life through your eyes and help you to develop an understanding of why you are the way that you are and how to become who you want to be. We can also focus on how to cope with your everyday life issues and building the coping strategies that you need.

I work with Adults and Children helping to process difficulties such as anxiety, stress and life stage changes. I work with a range of issues such as relationship and attachment issues, low-self esteem and anger. I have experience working with a focus on gender, identity and cultural difficulties. I specialise in working with addiction, trauma, including CSA and dream interpretation. In therapy I have also helped support people in identifying and understanding mental health issues such as ADHD, OCD and ASD.

My way of working is Integrative, which means that I draw on many theories and approaches to psychotherapy, enabling me to tailor my way of working to suit you and your individual needs. My mix of Psychodynamic and Humanistic knowledge, helps me to support you in the here and now while also reaching into your history and unconscious mind to explore the root causes. I also use CBT, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness and creative therapies.

My aim is to build a relationship where you feel comfortable, you can be yourself and always feel heard. Together we can work towards a happier and more authentic future.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
