About me
Hi, I'm Joe,
I'm someone you can talk to, counselling online so we can connect wherever you are.
I have three specialities:
- I specialise in relationship counselling, working around relationship endings, marital problems, and deciding what to do if a partner has been unfaithful;
- I specialise in bereavement counselling, working with loss and grief, finding ways of building your new ‘normal’;
- I specialise in counselling for carers - which often contains elements of counselling for relationship issues and counselling for loss.
And we can work with whatever else comes up, as it always does. Whatever it is, you & I will work on it together - I'm ready when you are.
I welcome neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ clients - I welcome everyone, no matter who you are or how you identify.
We'll connect and find the best way for you. Sometimes a few sessions is enough to find a way through your issue; sometimes it takes longer.
I work both short-term and long-term, so we can decide together what you need and review as we go.

Training, qualifications & experience
My primary training is in Transactional Analysis, and I hold a Level 6 diploma in Counselling.
I'm a member of BACP, and of UKATA.
I'm also an NCPS Accredited Registrant.
I've been counselling since 2019, and have much experience working with the bereaved and with those in caring situations.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
