About me

Hi and welcome to my counselling profile.

I am an empathic, energetic and highly motivated individual who loves motivating others and helping them to work towards realising their true potential.

Some reasons you may wish to embark on counselling

Do you feel you’re not fulfilling your full potential?

Struggling with change or want to make change happen? Are you struggling to achieve your goals?

Have you got self limiting beliefs that stop you from fulfilling your true potential? Would you like me to challenge these and help you through?

Do you compare your internal world to others' external world? Is this leaving you with difficult thoughts and feelings?

Have you followed your personal and professional goals and on achieving them you feel deflated and burned out,  leaving you unable to work out what’s next?

Do you struggle with being assertive? Do you struggle to say No?

Are you facing difficult circumstances which you don’t know how to work through?

Do you struggle building relationships or find it difficult trusting those around you?

Having had years of personal therapy myself - I have managed to steer the sails of my ship, taking me from, at times, isolated choppy waters to a warm,  safe and more connected place.

I have a wide range of personal interests including outdoor pursuits and being in nature, art, tennis and start up businesses. In my earlier life I did some child acting and have a particular interest in working with people from creative industries including with actors, designers and musicians.

As a father, I love nothing more than seeing the faces of my children light up with excitement. I also have an understanding and am working through the many challenges that come with being a parent as well as the relatively new set of challenges and dilemmas with screen time, social media and unhealthy “influencers”.

The way I work

Adapting the way I work to your specific needs, I explore and discover with you, what might best assist you to move forward towards your goals.

If you decide to work with me, expect to be challenged in a kind sensitive and at times, where appropriate a humorous way. You may find reflecting deeply and exploring your potential stimulating, rewarding, and profoundly encouraging.

You will explore concerns that are troubling you, in a calm and confidential environment, without being judged or criticised.

In a safe environment, thoughts and feelings can be explored and repeated patterns of behaviour identified, some of which may have a bearing on your current problem and the way you move forward in your life.

You can explore your experiences, thoughts, feelings and intentions in a safe environment, you may discover, overcome and change patterns of cognitive, emotional, behavioural response, that may have been causing your current problems.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
