About me

My name is Jessy, and I am an integrative counsellor, and a registered member of the BACP. I am a counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I draw upon different therapeutic approaches to fit the specific needs of the client. I adapt integrative psychotherapy to your individual needs, where you can start to learn about yourself and process your experience and heal. I always try to offer an inclusive and diverse space for all clients that want to feel accepted without judgment. I am committed to helping and supporting trans and non-binary and gender diverse people of all ethnicities and sexual orientations.  I have experience working with clients from the LGBTQ+community.  Any issues around gender identity and sexuality can be explored without judgment or fear.

Sometimes life can make you feel alone and isolated, and you may be feeling at a loss or boxed in and cornered by circumstance that leave you overwhelmed and frightened. Keeping life simple and knowing your own purpose, can feel like an unattainable goal. Together we can search for the answers you are looking for, giving you the clarity and tools to reach your goals and live a happier and more fulfilling life and start to heal from the traumas of the past and present.

I believe that the past can emerge in our present relationships. For some the past has been a journey of loss, grief, abandonment, and a lack of choice in differing who we are and how we want to identify ourselves both in gender, culture, and sexuality. I believe that walking along side you, in whatever life stage you are transitioning through with empathy and honesty, will enable you to trust yourself and let go of conditional beliefs, and find a sense of your own pathway. I will always try to give you choice, because counselling is about you deciding what’s important for you.

My aim is to provide you with a safe space, where you can feel heard and seen by me to find your true self without judgment or fear. My goal is that you will feel valued and understood by being in a therapeutic relationship with me, that is genuine and authentic. You can start to undo the trauma, loss, and loneliness you may be experiencing. I draw upon my personal experience by being empathic and authentic and I will try to meet the person that you are, no matter how difficult it may feel. I will aim to be there for you every step of the way, on this journey together. I am very warm and gentle in my approach and will always give you the space and time you need to find the meanings you are searing for.

I work with a range of issues focusing on gender identity, sexuality, loss, abuse, anxiety, attachment, family, stress, and anything that is holding you back from an actualised and fully autonomous person that you would like to be.  My hope is that you can choose a way forward that feels more joyful and real, and free of conditions.

You can start to experience yourself without fear or discrimination and where you will be able to access your inner resources to find your own meanings and signs to move forward. My aim is to hold a therapeutic space,  that allows us to build a relationship in which you feel safe enough to explore your difficulty’s and where you’re not afraid to show your vulnerability’s. I provide a safe and judgmental free practise where you can feel safe enough to connect to yourself and the world.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
