About me

Based in Central London, I offer in-person, online, and telephone counselling on a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, bereavement, and trauma. I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Counselling is a fantastic tool for gaining clarity, processing pain and trauma, and discovering more about ourselves and what it means to be human. It can give us the confidence and resolve to make important life decisions and put us on the path to inner contentment.

As a therapist, I seek to facilitate this by providing a non-judgemental, confidential space in which the client can feel supported and develop greater awareness of themselves and the world around them.

I believe it is important for clients to find the right counsellor to support them on their journey, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, queries or concerns.

My therapy rooms are in Islington (near Angel) and the City of London (near Liverpool Street).

I practice integrative counselling, meaning that I tailor my approach depending on the client’s needs by employing a variety of techniques from various psychotherapeutic modalities.

At the centre of my work is the relationship between counsellor and client. I strive to create a confidential, non-judgemental space in which the client feels comfortable and safe exploring difficult thoughts and feelings.

I work with people from all backgrounds and embrace and celebrate diversity in the counselling room, believing that counselling is a tool for positive social change and cultural understanding.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

After embarking on my own counselling journey, and experiencing the benefits of the practice, I decided to pursue counselling as a career because I wanted to help others. I have always been socially conscious and I see counselling and psychotherapy as a force for positive social change that can change lives and communities. Since starting my work, I have learnt so much about the experience of others, and witnessed profound change in clients, which has confirmed to me the importance of counselling, making me a more determined advocate for mental health awareness.
