About me

I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist working with adults, children and young people.

I offer support with a wide variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, addiction and relationship issues. I offer short and long term counselling and psychotherapy, including DIT (Dynamic Interpersonal Psychotherapy), a specialist form of short term psychotherapy specifically designed to address challenging patterns in interpersonal relationships.

My approach is warm yet inquisitive. I strive to offer my client the opportunity to be fully understood in their unique experience, as well as tools and ideas to expand and change the way they see themselves and interact with others. Psychotherapy can be comforting and yet transformational. I work with my clients to achieve tangible positive changes in all areas of their life.

I am also passionate about helping individuals who are experiencing stress and difficulties in relation to parenthood and family life. As a child psychotherapist I can help parents to understand their children and respond to their needs, as well as supporting them in resolving conflicts and challenging aspects of their personal experience as parents.

I support individuals and couples who are struggling to conceive and I have extensive experience dealing with psychological aspects of fertility and infertility, as well as exploring and offering support with different options to achieve parenthood, including assisted reproduction, donor conception, surrogacy and adoption.

I offer the following services, either online or in person, from my consulting room in Frome, Somerset.

  • Short and long term individual counselling and psychotherapy
  • DIT - 16 sessions
  • Parent sessions, offering support and guidance to parents in connecting and understanding their child
  • Fertility and transition to parenthood counselling
  • Parent and infant psychotherapy

Do not hesitate to contact me via email of telephone to discuss the best option for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
