About me

I am a UK based integrative therapist with over 4 years of experience. Throughout my practice, I have worked with clients facing a broad spectrum of challenges including depression, anxiety, abuse, addiction, relationship issues, historic trauma, criminal rehabilitation, dream analysis, and OCD.

My therapeutic approach is based on acceptance and compassion, which is crucial to treat everyone with the utmost respect and dignity. It is my responsibility to understand my clients' world and walk with them on their journey. My therapy approach is a fusion of humanistic, Jungian analytical modalities and psychodynamic techniques. I believe that a tailored dialogue and treatment are necessary to address the unique and specific needs of each client, as there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Psychotherapy is an highly personal and distinctive form of conversation that deepens with time to form a unique relationship. It can be daunting to speak about emotional pain, but being honest and courageous about your experiences can lead to developing insight, self-confidence, and self-respect. By speaking about the difficulties we face we can gain new perspectives not only on our experiences but about ourselves.

Taking the first steps towards a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage. When you are ready to take that step I am here to support and guide you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Bachelors Honours Degree in Person-Centered Counselling & Psychotherapy - Essex University.
  • Masters Degree in Jungian Studies with a focus on Dream and Psyche Exploration - Essex University.
  • Dip. HE in Person-Centred Counselling - Essex University.
  • Therapist with The WIlderness Foundation.
  • Youth therapist with the Youth Enquiry Service.
  • Previously a counsellor with the Essex Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) and Colchester Institute Counselling Service (CICS).

I am extremely committed to continued professional development with on going training in different modalities.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
