About me

I am a fully qualified person centred counsellor/therapist and a registered member of the BACP.

I am also a Clinical Supervisor trained to CPCAB level 6.

I can offer a safe, confidential space, where you can decide exactly what you want to share, where your voice will be truly heard and where you will not be judged. I also offer you respect, empathy, honesty and understanding; the foundations for building an effective therapeutic relationship.

My priority is to help you to the best of my ability. My aim is to encourage you to explore and understand your thoughts and feelings and what keeps you in a place of unhappiness or distress. My hope is that you gain a better understanding and awareness of yourself, your feelings and your relationships, enabling you to move towards growth and change.

I offer Face-to-Face, online, telephone and outdoor counselling sessions.

Face-to-Face Sessions:

  • For both Counselling and Supervision, I offer face-to-face, online and telephone sessions. Face-to-face sessions are available at Willyams House, 63B Fore Street, St Columb Major, TR9 6AJ.

  • Online sessions are available on Zoom and WhatsApp.

Outdoor Sessions:

  • I am able to offer outdoor sessions for Counselling and Supervision.
  • Outdoor sessions can be conducted as we walk and talk, out in nature allowing for a relaxing and refreshing experience.

Adults Counselling:

  • Are you struggling with life’s challenges? Is it time for a change? At times life can feel overwhelming and it can be difficult to see how we can move forward or make things better for ourselves. Counselling can be the first step towards making positive changes in your life and to ultimately living the life you want to live.

Young People Counselling:

  • Young people often find it hard to communicate their thoughts and feelings to the adults around them and sometimes may not even understand them themselves. Resulting in depression, mood swings, anxiety, anger issues, self-harm and suicidal ideation. Counselling can help them understand and explore these thoughts and feelings.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
