About me

I am a BPS chartered psychologist with extensive experience and skills in working within the NHS and other settings.

My approach aims to provide a safe and trusted space, respectful of each individual's capacity for personal growth. My aim is to help each person find what works for him or her in dealing with the particular circumstances and stresses that cause suffering. The therapeutic process is unique to each individual and takes place within a confidential, non-judgemental setting and can be a very rewarding experience.

I offer short-term, long-term and open-ended therapy in person at my office in Fitzrovia and online.

I have provided consultations to organisations in the business sector and worked with individuals in high stress corporate sectors.

About sessions

Our first meeting will be an opportunity to discuss what you would like from therapy. I draw on a variety of different models of psychotherapy such as:

  • Psychodynamic/ psychoanalytic psychotherapy
  • Dynamic interpersonal therapy (DIT) (Accredited practitioner and supervisor)
  • MBCT (Mindfulness based cognitive therapy)
  • Integrative Psychotherapy (drawing on different models)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT)

How therapy helps

Therapy can help people who are in mental pain to find words to express what they are thinking and feeling in a safe and trusting environment. Each person needs an individual response informed by experience and a wealth of psychological research. I have acquired skills, knowledge and experience over many years of training and working in the NHS and other settings, which has contributed to the quality and depth of my approach to therapy.

What to expect in the first session?

The first session can be viewed as a conversation where you can share with me your reasons for seeking help and to help you decide whether therapy is helpful for you at this time.

Supervision

I have supervised psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors in the NHS in primary and secondary care and offer clinical supervision to trainees and therapists.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over ten years of experience in mental health and have worked primarily in adult mental health.
