About me
Hello, my name is Dexter and I'm an integrative counsellor offering in person counselling in Paignton & Totnes. I also offer telephone counselling and online video counselling via Zoom or FaceTime. I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is of upmost importance for positive change to occur so I will create a friendly, relaxed space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, trusting environment.
I will meet you with warmth, empathy and with a non judgmental approach so you are as comfortable as possible and we will work together to explore whatever you decide to bring to each session.

Being an Integrative counsellor means I am skilled and trained in numerous therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and more! Integrative counselling enables me to adjust my methods to assist every client according to their individual requirements, preferences, and circumstances. This approach is highly adaptable and can address a wide array of issues.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. This organisation holds Accredited Register Status with the Professional Standards Authority, meaning that their members have achieved a recognised and required level of training and adhere to a professional code of conduct including strict confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
