About me

I am qualified TA Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with 3 years formal training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.

I have also worked for 3 years in an Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit working with individuals struggling with acute mental health conditions.

Life can throw us plenty of curveballs and its okay to be overwhelmed by it. I hold the belief that everyone is OK and that the relationship built between Therapist and Client holds the key to creating change for the better. I want to help give you back your power to control and enjoy your life to its fullest.

I have expertise in working with clients experiencing difficulties with the following but not limited to:

•    Eating Disorders and Body Image conditions
•    Depression
•    Anxiety
•    Self – Harm behaviours
•    Suicidal thoughts and behaviours
•    Trauma
•    Relationship Difficulties
•    Kink Aware
•    Bereavement

What you can expect from me is a judgement free, confidential, safe space to explore all parts of the self and to truly be heard. No issue is too big or too small, if there is something impacting you and your wellbeing then it is important and has a welcome space with me.

I believe that when experiencing true safety in a relationship can we then bring forward all sides of ourself to then begin to create positive change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
