About me

Welcome to Your Journey Towards Personal Growth and Healing!

In life, we all face moments where things don't seem to be working the way we want them to. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, addiction, flashbacks, or simply a lingering feeling that life could be better, counselling can be a transformative step. I provide a secure and empathetic environment where we can explore these challenges together.

How I Can Help You: As a Registered Accredited Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapists (BACP) and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, I am committed to offering a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgemental space. Here, you can freely express your thoughts and feelings, explore your past and present experiences, and start to uncover the underlying causes of your distress. Together, we will work not only to heal past hurts but also to develop the tools you need to face the future with confidence.

My Approach: My counselling practice is integratively based, meaning that I draw from multiple therapeutic models to best meet your unique needs. My approach combines the insights of Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic, Gestalt Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I integrate creative work to facilitate a deeper expression of feelings and foster a positive journey towards improved mental health and well-being.

What You Can Expect:

  • Sessions are 50 minutes, typically held weekly.
  • Both short-term and open-ended therapy options are available, tailored to your needs.
  • A holistic focus aimed at enhancing your quality of life, mental resilience, well-being, and the authenticity of your relationships.
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds, faiths, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations.

Initial Consultation: Choosing the right therapist is crucial. I offer an initial assessment—either by a brief chat by telephone or an initial face-to-face session—to discuss your goals and see if my approach feels right for you. This session is an opportunity for you to experience how counselling works and to ensure we feel comfortable working together. There is no obligation; finding the right fit is essential for effective therapy.

Take the First Step: If you are ready to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that are impacting your life, and if you are looking for a supportive partner in your journey towards self-discovery and growth, please contact me to schedule your initial assessment.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
