About me

It's impossible to go through life without periods of suffering.  This doesn't mean, as is often claimed to be the case,  that we are mentally ill.  The anguish we can suffer is often related to our life experiences and the current circumstances in which we find ourselves, as well as the universal of experience of being human, of our existence.  There is a story to be told by each of us that needs to be heard and the possibility to establish a more peaceful existence with ourselves within our relationships and looking outwards to the world.

The morning wind spreads its fresh smell.
We must get up to take that in,
that wind that lets us live.
Breathe, before it's gone

Rumi

I work face to face and online,  wherever you are in the world, and at whatever place you are in your life.

My approach has developed over many years.  I do not ask my clients to go anywhere I have not been myself.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I specialise in all forms of personal and professional development for individuals, couples and groups, working with the body, feelings, mind, spirituality and sexuality and especially potential. I also have specialist training to work with trauma, of the kind related to isolated incidents, and also with the more chronic patterns that evolve during early developmental and in attachment styles.

We can heal and create personal change through a transformation in our BEING. The journey to find inner freedom and peace is not an easy one and requires courage in spite of our deepest fears.

More and more I realise that all we have to do is help our clients to self-regulate. Then their lives unfold as if by magic.
