About me

Life can indeed throw up many challenges, not always of our own making, which impact on our health and our relationships, at any age, and whether we are alone or sharing our life with someone, we can experience fear.... doubt; the deepest love.........the darkest hatred; we can feel lost.... and belong; find joy for life but also experience addiction, depression and paralysing anxiety. There are times when we grow and thrive but other times when we can feel destroyed by life, by what happens to us, and around us.

As we move from one stage of life to another our relationship to ourselves, others, and the world calls us to heal from past traumas, mature internally and externally, and address the 'crazy' places we can inhabit as human beings. Before we can move on with our lives we often have to take stock and examine how we are living. Often we discover that we have to learn how to regulate destructive patterns in our behaviour and heal the past.

If you want to do more than just 'survive'; transform your relationships; or just need help with some of life's dilemmas; please do get in touch. Embarking on Psychotherapy can bring you real and lasting transformation.

The morning wind spreads its fresh smell.
We must get up to take that in,
that wind that lets us live.
Breathe, before it's gone

UKCP

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

UK Council for Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I specialise in all forms of personal and professional development for individuals, couples and groups, working with the body, feelings, mind, spirituality and sexuality and especially potential. I also have specialist training to work with trauma, of the kind related to isolated incidents, and also with the more chronic patterns that evolve during early developmental and in attachment styles.

We can heal and create personal change through a transformation in our BEING. The journey to find inner freedom and peace is not an easy one and requires courage in spite of our deepest fears.
