Therapeutic work is both rewarding and challenging. We sit alone with our clients, building relationship and engaging with some of the most complex and difficult experiences of life. To work effectively, safely and ethically we have to understand our own psychological processes, and develop a capacity for deep reflection and intellectual exploration. As a senior practitioner I am dedicated to the idea that we should encourage clients away from victimhood by empowering them to take control of their lives.
I began my psychotherapy training some years ago at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London, and later completed a training in integrative supervision. I also trained for some years in Dublin, and qualified with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, an American body-centred psychotherapy. This training especially, has both inspired and brought me right up to date with the latest theories in neuro-science and added a vital dimension to my holistic practice. My hope is that I provide a creative, collaborative and restorative space for practitioners at all levels and from all orientations of the profession, individually and in groups.
I offer Zoom sessions for those working at a distance from my practice or when attendance is difficult or impossible.
TESTIMONIAL: I chose to work with Jane as I felt I wanted to be a full bodied kind of therapist but was also looking for a different kind of supervisor that could help me develop as a person. Jane has really helped me look at my work with different eyes. She understood what I needed from supervision and has been with me every step of the way. Jane has challenged me and my way of working. It has really expanded my view of the work we do with our clients and even challenged me to look after myself in a different and sustainable way. Through the work we have done together I have been able to soften my edges. I walk away from a supervision session feeling excited and more passionate about what I do. I highly recommend Jane as a supervisor. Maria M I offer supervision online and currently in my garden in Suffolk (WP).I charge £70 per hour and £90 for 1.5 hours.I will accomodate 2 supervisees attending together for the same fee. Organisational fees may vary.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
