About me

Hello my name is Zoe (she/her) I am a highly motivated Person Centred Counsellor who has a passion to help other's. I offer a warm, safe, confidential space for you to explore any worries or issues that's impacting your life.  It’s my belief that working together we can move you forward , building confidence and empowering you to deal with life's challenges. My approach holds that rather than the counsellor being the expert, it is the individual that has the ability to work towards resolving their own issues when given the support of an empathetic ear. I worked as a support worker for 2 and half years with adults with learning disabilities. I then went on to work at the Nottingham Women’s Centre till March 2019.  I then went on to work in Sexual violence services for 2 years, working with trauma and other issues that sexual violence has had on peoples lives.  I  started working remotely since March 2020 and have found that working through Zoom and Telephone is equally beneficial as face to face.  I am currently working as an EAP Associate counsellor. Below are some of the issues I have experience in

  • Anxiety
  • P.T.S.D
  • Trauma
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Stress
  • Grief
  • Gender dysphoria
  • Depression

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
