About me

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some with one specific issue, whereas for others there is a need for deep exploration before they reach where they wish to be. With all my clients I accept and respect their individual reasons for coming to therapy.

During my time in practice as a Person-Centred Psychotherapist, I have been in relationships with people experiencing a range of reasons for seeking therapy including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, loneliness, low self-esteem,  questioning their own identity or exploring the impact of their neurodiversity (including ADHD and Autism). Some have been struggling with how others view them, and how this can make them feel about themselves. Whereas others feel the time is right for them to explore the impact of discrimination, trauma or abuse they have experienced. Our sessions will allow whatever is impacting you, or causing you distress, to be explored in a non-judgemental and accepting environment. With me alongside as your therapist, we can work together to find the solutions and outcomes you feel will support you in making the choices and changes you feel would benefit you going forward.

Having me as your therapist means you will be the focus of our sessions together. I believe you are the person who knows yourself best. It is for me to provide a safe and trusting environment in which you can connect, at your pace, with your inner thoughts and whatever worries, concerns, or behaviours that you feel are causing you to be anxious, unhappy, or making life difficult to cope with. I will not tell you what to do, try to fix you or dismiss what you bring. I will come to our sessions with a gentle curiosity and warmth supporting you to consider and explore what is preventing you being who or where you want to be.
