About me

Are you looking to find balance in your life?  If so, then I will walk alongside you in a welcoming and warm manner to support you on your journey.
I offer empathy and confidentiality, as well as respecting and recognising the individuality and uniqueness of every person.

Often modern life can cause an onset of personal distress with people sometimes experiencing depression, stress, anxiety and other issues often relating to relationships, work or family.

Are you suffering from anxiety or panic attacks?

Perhaps you are stressed because of a difficult boss, colleague or family member?

Feeling overwhelmed with the loss of a loved one?

Experiencing domestic violence, abuse or bullying from a partner or family member?

Maybe struggling with a separation or divorce?

Feeling Depressed or have Low self esteem?

Often lacking in confidence?

Or even Angry with extreme moods swings?

Feelings of emptiness or social shyness?

If you are seeking support with one or more of these issues, or indeed something else, then please don’t hesitate to contact me.

As a qualified and experienced Integrative therapist having worked with people from all walks of life and in different settings, I draw from a range of therapeutic practices. I offer a combined approach, blending together a range of theories and modalities. This means the way I work is unique to you, based on supporting you to make changes or achieve your goals.

I do believe therapy is a collaborative process.

So - How can therapy help you?

Along with space to talk and express yourself, our work together can offer an opportunity to deepen your self awareness, to discover or re-discover aspects of yourself, your qualities and inner resources to help face and overcome challenges in your life. I provide a safe and respectful environment to help you regain balance & well being.

Through both personal and professional experience, it has taught me therapy can help bring clarity where there is confusion. Resolve present or past issues. Often change and improve relationships, including the one we have with ourselves. Clients have often said they find it hugely rewarding and transformative. Even though at times they may have found it challenging, nonetheless it can be both stimulating and life changing.

I offer both Open ended therapy and Brief therapy (6-8 sessions).

If you have one or two specific issues you wish to resolve then Brief therapy may be an option for you. This involves a much tighter focus and targets specific problems that are currently in your life. Clients tend to enter into this with certain goals in mind. Sometimes it may even be a good introduction to open ended therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
