About me

I am an integrative, therapeutic counsellor that has worked with many people across a wide range of diversity. My aim is to guide and assist those with any issues that are troubling them; regardless of how big or small. As I believe, having a safe and warm environment to open up about your feelings can have significant benefits and impacts.  As an integrative counsellor, I embed different theories within our sessions. I work with a range of issues and can help with:

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Accredited Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. 

I also hold Level 2 and 3 Accredited Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Counselling Skills.

I have a good history of studying counselling and have taken the time to include myself in different psychotherapy CPD sessions, including:

  • Phobia Cure Techniques
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Meridian Therapy

As well as this, I regularly cover 10 hours of CPD learning every week to enhance my knowledge to provide an expertise level of counselling. 

As well as this, I am qualified in several different theories, including:

  • Transactional Analysis
  • Gestalt
  • Person - Centred 

I am consistently aiming to improve my skills and I hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS form. 

Furthermore, I receive regular personal counselling and supervision. This ensures I am up to date with my theories and always maintain a clear and concise mind to make sure I deliver a safe and effective service.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Each session will last a total of 50 minutes

Each session will be a total of £50. Please contact me for further discussion on concessions.

I offer a free 10 minute telephone session, to discuss the counselling process. 

If you decide you would prefer counselling sessions through a remote platform, the price for a 50 minute session will be £40. The service will be the same regardless of whether you decide to take it in person or online.
