About me

Hi, I'm Shannon. I am a registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC). It may be that you have a diagnosed mental health problem that you need to address, or maybe you are seeking a diagnosis. Or, it may be that you don't suffer from a mental health condition but experience significant difficulties in your relationships, at work, regulating your emotions, with parenting, with anger management, etc, and would like some assistance navigating these tricky parts of your life.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental and collaborative space in which to explore your difficulties and develop strategies to make the changes you desire.

If you are looking for a warm, relaxed and honest space to deal with your mental health, please reach out and have a confidential chat about your needs and my suitability to assist you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have 12 years of experience as a registered Clinical Psychologist (HCPC) and 20 years of experience in the mental health field.

During my career, I have developed skills in using therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR and Psychodynamic Therapy.

I tend to integrate a variety of approaches in my treatment planning.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
