About me

Hi, I'm Sally.

I am based in the Lake District. Whether you're seeking face-to-face sessions, online therapy accessible globally, or the benefits of nature through outdoor therapy sessions and development mountain days, I'm here to support you.

In our face-to-face sessions, we can meet in person for traditional counselling in a comfortable and confidential setting. If you prefer the convenience of online therapy, I also offer online sessions that can be accessed from anywhere in the world, allowing you to receive support from the comfort of your own surroundings.

For those who crave the healing power of nature...

I provide outdoor therapy sessions - these sessions take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District, allowing you to connect with nature while engaging in therapy.

If you're looking for a more immersive experience, my development days are perfect for you. These days are designed specifically for you whilst providing connection to nature and movement for those who prefer a different approach. Through guided walking in the Lake District, you can experience the benefits of being in nature and space tailored to your therapeutic needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified therapist, I have over 20 years experience delivering personal development to individuals and groups.

My approach to therapy is rooted in kindness and compassion. I provide a safe space where individuals can feel held, respected, and listened to without judgement. I am passionate about seeking to understand and support people struggling with unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, low confidence, self-esteem issues and relational problems

I value how everyone is unique and I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the individual needs and together, hope to achieve what you want through counselling and psychotherapy.  I will assist you in gaining a deeper awareness of yourself in order to make the changes you  want in terms of your relationship with yourself, others, or the world around you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
