About me
Hi, I’m Ross — a fully qualified counsellor passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and feel more at ease within themselves.
My approach is tailored to you. I draw from a range of therapeutic models — including Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic principles — to create a space that feels right for each individual. At the heart of my work is the belief that, with the right support, we all have the ability to understand ourselves better and move toward the life we want.
I work with adults and young adults facing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low confidence, family and relationship struggles, grief, and addiction. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure where to turn, I’m here to offer support without judgment.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey. I’m not here to “fix” you — instead, I’ll walk alongside you, helping you to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and make sense of the feelings or patterns that may be holding you back. Together, we can work at a pace that suits you, whether that’s short-term support around a specific issue or longer-term work for deeper personal growth.
You can expect sessions that feel safe, supportive, and grounded in empathy. I offer both in-person and online sessions to suit your preferences and availability. Some clients prefer a more open, client-led space to talk freely, while others find it helpful to have practical tools and reflections to work with between sessions — we can shape the process in a way that works best for you.
If you’re ready to take that first step toward change, or even if you’re unsure and just want to explore whether counselling is right for you, I’d be happy to have a conversation.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
