About me
Psychotherapy Approach
Over the course of 20 years, I have gained in depth knowledge in various counselling and psychotherapy approaches. Although studying differnet approaches, my core approach is working from a psychodynamic perspective whilst also drawing from the skills and theorie's of the Humanistic, CBT and Trauma informed modalities.
I understand that accessing psychotherapy and sharing life's challenges and experiences can feel deeply personal. Due to this, it is not unusual that some or most people experience ambivalence about starting therapy. With this in mind, I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space where we will work together safely, exploring your reasons for coming to therapy. We will use weekly or twice weekly therapy sessions as a way of analysing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to enable a deeper understanding and further insight into your current concerns. With gaining this insight, we can then develop ways in which you can move forward, into more balanced emotional experiences and where necessary life(style) changes.
The course of talking therapy suitable to each individual, family or couples’ presentation will be discussed and agreed as part of an initial consultation/assessment (first meeting).
What is an Initial Consultation/Assessment?
An assessment is a dedicated appointment for you to share the reasons for accessing psychotherapy sessions and you will have an opportunity to hear how the therapy I offer, can support you. We will decide together, if we will go ahead with the course of therapy I recommend and either book a date and time to start your therapy sessions. If you would like to take some time to think about the proposed therapy plan, you can email me when you have decided next steps.
The initial assessment session lasts approximately 60-75 minutes and is usually held in person at my clinic in one of my in person clinics at London Bridge or Kings Cross.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
