About me
I am a Jungian Psychotherapist working from my consulting room in lower Sunbury TW16. I have been working as a psychotherapist for 28 years and have a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from Roehampton University. A Diploma in Core Process Psychotherapy. (Five year training) from the Karuna Institute in Devon. I also completed a seven year training in Jungian Psychology with the Guild of Analytical Psychology and Spirituality. I am a member of United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and an accredited supervisor. I am also a group facilitator and worked for five years at the Mulberry Centre (within the grounds of West Middlesex Hospital) with groups of individuals diagnosed with Cancer and those bereaved through Cancer. I was also director of Hounslow Bereavement Services for a number of years before it closed due to loss of funding. My interest in end of life counselling and my work as lead counsellor at the Mulberrry Centre took me onto the wards of MIddlesex Hospital where I was privileged to sit bedside with the terminally ill and hear their life stories.
My professional approach is informed by the understanding that the human psyche is a self-regulating mind/body system which has its own inherent movement toward health. When you and I enter into this process the opportunity for creating positive change and development can occur.
Valuing your symbolic life helps me understand your unconscious communications. Through your dreams, fantasies and creative expression we can explore together the realms of your internal world. Psychotherapy is a relational process, allowing us to work together to create a trusting relationship where we can begin to explore any difficulties you are encountering in your life
My work is strongly influenced by Jung him self, who was an explorer of the realm of unconscious language, creatively communicated through the symbolic imagery of dreams and fantasy.
I offer a secure and confidential setting in which to discuss whatever issues may be troubling you.
Sessions are 60 minutes, preferably face to face in the room where possible. I am available for both long or short term work.
An initial session is suggested in order to discuss your individual needs.
Sessions are for 60 minutes.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me by phone or email.
You are most likely to reach my answering machine, so do please leave a message and I will get back to you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
