About me

Whatever may be troubling you, I can help.

I work with Individuals and Couples! If you are visiting my page because you are looking for an experienced therapist who can help you through whichever difficulty you might be facing, I can help. My clients come to see me for a variety of issues such as:

  • Stress at work or otherwise
  • Feeling stuck
  • Low moods
  • Wanting to find purpose and meaning
  • anxiety/ depression
  • Relationship issues with family, work, romantically
  • Past trauma, child or adult sexual abuse or domestic abuse
  • sexuality and spirituality

This list is not exhaustive so if you have any queries you can get in touch with me or see the list below.

Our lives are impacted by our history, culture, social circumstances, friendships and a whole host of other factors. These aspects condition us to respond and interact with people and situations in our lives in very particular ways. My work with you would be to understand your life from your unique perspective and help you get in touch with a more resourced part of yourself, which is beyond the psychological and social conditioning, to help you overcome any difficulties or challenges you may be facing.

My core training is in Psychosynthesis Counselling and Psychotherapy. Additionally I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I draw upon my entire knowledge and training from Psychology and Psychotherapy and Counselling trainings including other courses that help support my work and deepen my knowledge. I have collaborated the knowledge and skills I have obtained over the last 10 years and tailor my approach to the unique needs of each of my clients. Therefore I have a holistic approach, I do not see people at a superficial level, I understand that when you can tap into your wisdom from mind, body, feelings you can access deeper dimensions of your potential and find creative ways of expressing and living your life. You can be much more resourced when dealing with things you cannot change and are resourced enough to make any necessary changes you feel you need to make.

I have the privilege to see the lives of my clients transform through the work we do together, by building self-awareness and getting in touch with deeper levels of who we are, we can build ourselves to become more resourceful and whole. To have a better understanding of who I am and how I work please visit my website. If you would like to be my client, I look forward to meeting with you.

I work with both Individuals and Couples!

Relationships are far from easy and the nature of relationships and expected norms is always changing.

Couples come to see me for a range of issues:

  • Infidelity (In Open, Polyamorous and Monogamous relationships)
  • Crisis or bereavement affecting the relationship
  • Difficulty communicating
  • Sex/ Sexuality
  • Anxiety or ambivalence about the relationship
  • Need to accommodate change
  • Conflict management
  • Turning differences into growth points
  • Sexual diversity
  • Key Couples:(This is for those who want to work on a relationship with someone, whether it’s their sibling or parent or child).

To make an initial appointment with me please get in touch through email or phone. If you call me please expect to leave a message on my phone and I will get back to you promptly.

Therapy sessions take place on the same time each week (at least once a week) as the psyche needs regularity for it to be effective.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
