Dr Michael Eko, offering effective therapy to cope with life challenges
I am a counselling psychologist with several years’ experience of working in NHS mental health services with people with challenges like anxiety, depression, panic disorder, relationship difficulties, phobias, chronic pain, obsessive negative thoughts and so on.
The aim of my approach is to help you develop lasting and effective ways of coping with life challenges.
I am trained to work with three evidence based therapeutic approaches;
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT),
psychodynamic therapy & action and
commitment therapy (ACT).
Scientific evidence supports the usefulness of these therapies and their effectiveness in helping to reduce negative effects of anxiety, depression, stress and so on. These approaches can also have a positive impact on our general well being by helping us cope with seemingly difficult challenges.
My style of working also incorporates mindfulness-based bodywork which can be helpful for effective understanding/change at both body-mind level.
I am a chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Profession Council (HCPC) which means that I am trained to the highest possible standard.
I offer therapy face to face as well as on Skype. Please give me a call for a free 10 - 15 minutes conversation about how therapy may be able to help you manage your difficulty in an effective way.
You can also text or email me for further information.
