About me

COVID-19 update: Sessions are now available face to face as well as via Skype and Zoom video conferencing.

I am a counselling psychologist with many years’ experience of working in NHS mental health services where I worked with people with anxiety, depression, panic, relationship difficulties, phobias, chronic pain, trauma and so on.

My approach to therapy aims for flexibility by integrating CBT (cogntive behavioural therapy), ACT (Action and commitment therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) with Mindfulness and Acceptance perspectives. I also favour body-focused approaches like Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Qi Gong which can be particularly helpful in managing symptoms of trauma and the intensity of emotions that comes it.

I am a chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Profession Council (HCPC) which means that I am trained to the highest possible standard.

I offer therapy face to face as well as via Skype and Zoom video conferencing. Please give me a call for a free 10 - 15 minutes conversation about how therapy may be able to help you.

You can also text or email me for further information.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
