About me
Welcome to 'A Safe Place to Begin',
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist - Systemic and Mindfulness Practitioner - Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Hypnotherapist and Therapeutic Clinical Supervisor.
I currently work by appointment only, in Lymington Hampshire and online throughout the UK, Europe and North America (excluding Hypnotherapy).
I collaborate with a number of private health care providers who may, (depending on your cover),pay the cost of your treatment plan.
I also work with some EAP providers who offer short term Solutions Focused Therapy to their member organisations.
I am certified to work online throughout the UK, Europe and North America [excluding hypnotherapy].
Counselling could be seen as a personal investment, something that can enhance the way you think and feel and Improve your self-awareness . It can assist you to resolve both personal and professional development issues.
Therapy can support you to make better choices that have previously seemed to difficult to even contemplate. Choices that benefit you, rather than others, which is something that often leaves you feeling under valued and disappointed. But most importantly, help you to improve the quality of your relationships, both with others and hopefully yourself!
I appreciate that finding the right therapist may be difficult and time consuming. Many hours can be spent researching the various options before finding a therapist that you may like to work with and I hope that this information helps you in that process and to reach a decision that feels right for you!
Trust and confidentiality are very important factors in any counselling relationship and both need to be discussed and considered before you enter into any 'Working Agreement' or 'Counselling Contract'.
If you have any questions about the way I work or have concerns about the level of confidentiality that I can offer you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I respect diversity and offer a non-discriminatory practice. Appointments for disabled clients may be arranged at the CR4 venue during the day and subject to an assessment. The facilities there offer good access for disabled visitors.
My special interest is in trauma work, particularly with regard to Childhood Sexual Abuse: Domestic Abuse and Work based Trauma for professionals who work at the 'coal face' such as Police Officers, Prison Officers, NHS medical staff and Doctors, Armed Forces Personnel or anyone else who may prefer to seek independent support.
I understand how such working conditions can and often do, impact upon the life of the individual and on the relationships that they have with others.
