About us

We offer individual, weekly, therapy to adults and young people aged 11+.

Face to Face counselling is available in Richmond and Fulham (easily accessible via public transport), and remote counselling throughout the UK. Please contact us by email to arrange a free 30 minute introductory session.

From experience we find not all clients arrive with a clear goal in mind and that’s OK. Initially, we will listen to your story offering a supportive environment as you describe your experience and what brings you to counselling. During the sessions we will work compassionately to unfold deeper understanding and expression of your emotions. Through our interactions it is likely to become clearer where you experience pain and/or conflict.

Kate and Kim offer you a new experience of being in relationship, with a therapist. Our work encompasses self-healing, self-reflection, increasing awareness of who you are and embracing your uniqueness. Likewise, helping you increase resilience and move towards your desired outcomes.

Some clients have a very complex history so it is important you decide the pace, and depth of our work. Kate and Kim have both undertaken years of personal therapy in preparation of this work. Therapy is not easy, it has a tendency of stirring up long forgotten memories and emotions which we will support you through.

Member organisations *

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
