About me

I provide EMDR, counselling and art psychotherapy to help unlock feelings, aid communication, build understanding and promote healing from trauma. I have full EMDR training and am an accredited practitioner, this includes the Recent Trauma protocol, groups, children and adolescents and the flash / blink technique.

My background is in Art Psychotherapy and attachment based work, providing services for individuals, groups and organisations. I am experienced working with adults, children and adolescents; HCPC, BAAT, EMDR UK and EMDR Europe approved therapist and IGA (Institute of Group Analysis) qualified group supervisor. I am also a qualified climbing instructor, which can be included in trauma recovery and mind / body work.

Training, qualifications & experience

Lee runs 'Social Art Therapy Ltd www.socialarttherapy.com, a small clinic in South East London and is partly based in Covent Garden www.EMDR.London. She uses EMDR & Art Psychotherapy to address specific blocks, phobias and past trauma. Lee has experience working in Adult Social Services in Greater London, a refugee camp and addiction centre in Lebanon, and primary, secondary and alternative provision schools in the UK and recently in Albania. She also supervises social workers and therapists.

HCPC

Health and Care Professions Council

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Sessions are usually on a weekly basis, at the same time on the same day whether online or face to face. Some trauma revovery work can be done in shorter, more intensive timeframes.
