About me
Welcome to My Counselling Practice
About Me
You may be feeling overwhelmed by past experiences, struggling with emotional pain, or finding it difficult to cope with life’s pressures. Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, knowing that you will be heard and supported.
As a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist, I have extensive experience in helping people navigate life’s challenges. My specialism lies in supporting individuals through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, loss and grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties-including narcissistic dynamics-anger, and stress.
My approach is centred around you. Together, we will explore what is holding you back, process difficult emotions, and find ways to help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity. My role is to support and empower you on your journey towards healing, resilience, and personal growth-at a pace that feels right for you.
The Way I Work
I believe that therapy should be tailored to each individual. Your experiences, challenges, and goals are unique, so I take a flexible and collaborative approach to ensure that our work together aligns with what feels right for you. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
My focus is on you. I will use my skills, experience, and knowledge to support you in navigating life’s difficult experiences and help you feel more balanced and grounded in the present.
I work holistically, considering both the emotional and practical aspects of your life. This means that alongside exploring your thoughts and feelings, we will also look at how external factors such as relationships, work, and lifestyle might be influencing your well-being. Together we will make sense of what’s happening to you, rather than what’s wrong with you.
Together, we can: identify and break unhelpful patterns, process past experiences, strengthen self-awareness and self-compassion and develop coping strategies.
Trauma-Informed Specialisation
As a trauma-informed therapist, I have in-depth knowledge of how trauma impacts the mind and body. Whether you have experienced childhood trauma, emotional neglect, abusive relationships, PTSD, or a recent distressing event, I work in a way that prioritises your emotional safety.
Trauma can manifest in many ways-intense emotions, anxiety, dissociation, low self-worth, difficulties in relationships, or a persistent sense of being „stuck” I use gentle, supportive techniques to help you process trauma at a pace that feels manageable, ensuring you feel in control throughout your therapeutic journey. Together, we can work to reduce the impact of trauma or PTSD and restore a sense of safety, and help you regain emotional balance.
A trauma-informed approach means that I:
- Prioritise your emotional safety and comfort.
- Work at a pace that feels right for you.
- Help you understand how past experiences influence present challenges.
- Support you in developing coping strategies and emotional resilience.
- Ending Flashbacks & Intrusive Thoughts
- Overcoming Dissociation & Numbness
- Creating a Sense of Safety & Control
An Integrative Approach
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to create a tailored experience for each client, including: Person-Centred Therapy - providing a warm, accepting environment where you feel heard and valued. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - helping you identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns. Gestalt Therapy -focusing on self-awareness, emotions, and how past experiences shape the present. Solution-Focused Therapy - supporting you in finding practical ways to create positive change.
This integrative style allows me to adapt my approach to suit your specific needs, ensuring that therapy is both effective and meaningful for you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
