About me

Are you feeling lost or out of sorts?

Life can be hard and this is where counselling can play a pivotal role in turning your life around. No one should be dealing with issues alone. Standing beside you, developing a trusting relationship where you feel at ease and able to share in a place of safety without judgements or demands is an important starting point. People don’t need to be in crisis or at breaking point to have therapy. It is about empowerment for you to lead the life you want. The outcome being that you have a strong mental platform and resources to facilitate growth.

Within my practice, I use a client centred approach so together we can work on bringing a sense of balance and stability to your life. Traumatic events in life such as loss, stress, anxiety, low self - esteem, abuse, addiction, self - harm and issues within relationships can be looked into using talk therapy as well as EMDR – a form of therapy that looks at processing memories which may be negatively impacting your life.

Approaching counselling can be daunting so I want the shared space we occupy to be comforting so that you feel held and able to express yourself fully without fear so together we can explore where you are and where you want to be. I offer flexible appointments, whether face to face or remote. If you are struggling, please get in touch to create a new path. Looking forward to speaking soon.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
