About me
Twenty years ago, I took the decision to put people at the very centre of what I do and become a therapist - it has been the best choice I ever made. Helping people through their therapeutic journey; listening to their stories, their worries and challenges, is very rewarding work. I love what I do and feel very privileged to be able to offer my help.
I am a relational integrative therapist which means that the relationship we make is the foundation of the work we do. I work in an integrative way which enables me to use many forms of therapy to aid recovery and to ultimately help you feel better and make positive steps on your healing journey.
Whatever your need for therapy, I offer a responsive, collaborative and compassionate approach. We work together looking at the whole ‘You’; exploring your experiences with care and consideration.
What is therapy about?
We will talk about the issues that are important to you. I do a lot of listening and will ask quite a few questions as well. Working together and at a pace you are comfortable with, I provide a safe, confidential space which keeps you at the centre of what we do. We will talk about the issues that you feel able to bring. My aim is to provide you the support you need. It is at this time that change can happen, acceptance becomes possible and personal growth can take place.
What happens in therapy?
Whether you feel you would like to start therapy to help with your general mindset; appreciating the effects of previous traumatic events; dealing with changing circumstances; better understanding yourself and your reactions to issues or something completely different. This is your time and your space. Together we will explore how you experience your world and to try to find the answers to your questions. There is no need to know what the right questions are, simply that things are just not quite right.
We will work together to understand and bring into your awareness how patterns, themes and experiences in your life, affect your current situation, and perhaps consider new approaches that work positively for you.
Who do I work with?
I work with both adults and young people from secondary school age. I’m based in central Winchester and available for online consultation as well as face to face; whatever works best for you. I work Monday to Thursday and have appointments available during the day and some in the evening. I limit the number of appointments I have each day to ensure that you get my full energy. Appointments are available for up to a maximum of 2 hours. I charge £60 per hour and I offer a discount for students.
I offer a free introductory 20 minute online meeting before we start therapy so you can see if I am the right therapist for you. Please just get in touch so we can organise a convenient time.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
