About me

I am a Person-Centred Humanistic counsellor which means that I believe everyone has the potential to become who they really are. My focus is on encouraging my clients to believe in themselves by developing their self-esteem and self-worth. I work with clients to empower themselves in a safe, confidential, friendly and non-judgemental setting. Using this approach clients also enhance their ability to live a healthier lifestyle.

I offer one to one, group work and individual supervision for the development of self-acceptance.

Bereavement and Loss Counselling
My specialist area is working with bereavement, counselling terminally ill clients and their families.

Children and Play Therapy
I also work in a primary school with children on a one to one basis using creative artwork and play therapy.

Practising mindfulness and living in the moment are approaches that I have used successfully with clients managing long term critical conditions. The mind is so powerful it can keep us trapped in unhealthy patterns that affect our relationships and the way we view ourselves. As a counsellor, I enjoy working with people facing issues that control their lives.

My latest role is running Living in the Moment workshops for Live Well Kent which has proven to be successful and enables clients to start to live in the moment and live healthier lifestyles.

I also practice Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Bodywork and Emotional Release to help restore clients whose health and wellbeing is affected by their bodies storing past pain. It may seem a big step even thinking about counselling. I would like to offer you my experience and skills so that you can become the person you want to be.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
