About me
I became a counsellor to embark on a journey of self-discovery and to help others do the same. Through my own commitment to self-awareness, I now live in the moment and embody what I teach. My profound experience of being present guides my work, and I encourage my clients to discover this for themselves.
Since qualifying as a counsellor in 2003, I have been deeply committed to my personal and professional growth, which allows me to create meaningful connections with my clients. Using the core conditions of person-centred therapy—empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness—I create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their feelings, overcome challenges, and grow.
My presence and the way I work have transformed many lives, helping clients find inner peace, develop self-belief, and create healthier, more fulfilling lifestyles. Whether you are navigating grief, anxiety, trauma, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
How Counselling Can Help
Counselling provides a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and discover what works for you. Together, we’ll address the challenges you face, allowing you to process emotions and develop a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle.
As your companion on this journey, I will help you embrace your true self rather than living up to others’ expectations. My approach is non-judgemental and empathic, enabling me to step into your world and provide the support you need. By living in the moment and using the tools I share, you can improve your mind, body, and soul, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others.
Specialist Areas
Bereavement and Loss
I specialise in helping clients navigate bereavement and loss, including supporting terminally ill individuals and their families. My focus is on living in the moment and finding inner peace despite fear and grief. I also work with clients bereaved by suicide, helping them process painful emotions and rediscover a sense of purpose.
Suicidal Feelings
For those experiencing suicidal feelings, I offer a compassionate space to explore these thoughts and provide tools and awareness to help them move forward. My work has changed many lives, helping clients rebuild self-belief, live healthier lifestyles, and achieve their potential.
Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Inner Child Healing
I support clients in developing healthier approaches to managing anxiety and depression, often without relying on medication. I specialize in healing the inner child and addressing trauma and PTSD. By understanding patterns and learned behaviours that stem from childhood, clients can experience meaningful growth and change.
Children and Young Adults
I work creatively with children and young adults to help them process emotions and build self-belief. By fostering acceptance and understanding of their feelings, I aim to promote resilience and healthier coping mechanisms for the future. My experience as a school counsellor has enabled me to connect meaningfully with young clients.
Living in the Moment and Mindfulness
I incorporate mindfulness into my work to help clients break free from unhelpful patterns and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. This approach is especially effective for managing chronic conditions and everyday challenges, encouraging clients to live more fully in the present.
Self-Awareness for Trainee and Qualified Counsellors
This package is designed to help both trainee and qualified counsellors deepen their self-awareness and enhance their practice. By gaining insight into what exists within themselves, participants will develop a greater understanding of their own patterns, behaviours, and emotional responses—an essential foundation for effective therapeutic work.
The workshop provides practical tools and techniques to support personal growth and professional development, offering valuable CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for counsellors at any stage of their career. Through this process, counsellors can strengthen their therapeutic relationships and bring greater authenticity and awareness to their practice.
Group Work
I run Living in the Moment workshops designed to help participants develop mindfulness and live more fully in the present. These workshops typically run over 6 to 8 weeks and focus on building awareness, letting go of unhelpful patterns, and fostering self-acceptance.
I am also developing a new spiritual workshop for those who want to deepen their connection to the present moment. This workshop will provide a calming, supportive space for participants to relax, let go, and embrace self-acceptance on a deeper level.
In addition, I facilitate Bereavement and Loss workshops, offering a compassionate environment where individuals can process grief, share their experiences, and find tools to navigate loss.
My workshops are structured yet flexible, providing the guidance and support participants need to grow and heal, both individually and collectively.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
