About me

Hi I’m Jules. I’m a psychotherapist, counsellor and coach based in North West London

My support is tailored to your specific needs, whether you’re navigating a particularly challenging personal or work situation, pursuing defined goals or exploring aspects of your past and personality. I offer a Personal Consultancy approach, which means that I can integrate elements of coaching with more traditional counselling and psychotherapy as required. This enables us to work together to navigate through your experiences and, when you’re ready, embrace a future-oriented, solution-focused path, at a pace that feels right for you.

I specialise in providing support to neurodivergent individuals (conditions including autism, ADHD, dyspraxia and dyslexia) and their families and I also have an understanding of disability and working with caregivers. My perspective is deeply rooted in my own familial experience of autism and complemented by an ongoing academic research project focused on the workplace experiences of neurodivergent individuals.

Drawing from my leadership roles in the brand/corporate film industry, where I mentor and guide others, my combination of training and professional experience allows me to adapt to your needs as we progress and to offer a truly unique approach.

Who I work with:

I specialise in neurodiversity and have also undergone training with RNIB in Understanding Sight Loss for counselling.  Additionally, I extend my support to family members and caregivers, offering assistance to those dealing with various conditions, including neurominorities and other disabilities. I spent five years working with young people (16-25), on a crisis helpline, and I am also attuned to the challenges and experiences of being a parent.

Next steps:

Choosing the right therapist for you is important, so I offer a no-obligation, 15 minute call with me to find out if we’re a good fit. After that, if you choose to go ahead, we can book in our first session and make a plan based on what you’d like to get from your therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

*Two years as a therapist with Action for Neurodiversity - including training sessions and regular neurodiversity informed supervision

*Five years experience manning the crisis helpline for the young person's charity The Mix

* Six month volunteering with Harrow Carers.

*RNIB training in Understanding Sight Loss for Counselling

*Current academic research into counselling and coaching for neurodivergent individuals and their workplace experiences

* 25 years experience in film production, including leadership roles (former Head of Production and Chair of EVCOM) and mentoring new entrants to the industry

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
