About me

Hello, I'm Jon. I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP.  My private practice is based in my home in Kibworth Beauchamp, Leicestershire, ideally located just off the A6 between Market Harborough & Leicester.

I work with adult individuals and couples who are seeking better emotional wellbeing. Whether you are struggling with unpleasant feelings linked to stress, depression or anxiety, or seeking support with improving relationships, healing from abuse or trauma,  exploring childhood difficulties or finding new meaning in life, I offer you the chance to reflect on the difficulties you are experiencing with someone from outside your day-to-day life.

I believe each person and each path taken is truly unique, as people’s choices are influenced by their experiences and environment. I am passionate about my work and believe therapy can help you to understand yourself and the path you have taken. Through talking together, in confidence, I can help you to work through your difficulties, including deep-rooted beliefs and life experiences, actively engaging with you so that you feel heard, understood and valued.  Through working together I can help you to create the opportunity for positive change and growth, leading to greater understanding of yourself, fresh perspectives and a happier, healthier you.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
