About me

HELLO!

I'm Jen, I'm a qualified and registered Art Therapist / Psychotherapist and I'm passionate about using art and image to explore our thoughts and emotions. My level of training is approved by the health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC), and I am a full member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT), and DBS checked.

What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy provided in a safe and confidential space, delivered by a trained, qualified and registered Art Therapist.

It is a client led therapy which uses art materials as the main form of expression, you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace and are never required to talk if you do not wish to. Art Therapy can reduce stress, help promote insight and understanding, self compassion and self esteem.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE GOOD AT ART or have any previous experience!

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
