About me

My therapy practice.

Hello, I am glad you have found me and made your first step towards therapy! An inspiring quote by Dalai Lama once said, “Calm minds bring inner peace and self-confidence, so that’s very important for good health”.  This resonates with me because our mental health is incredibly important to our well-being and our perceptions of the world we live in.

I am a person centred counsellor, so our sessions together are led by you. I am also a member of BACP and guided by their ethical framework.

I know that searching for a counsellor can be unnerving especially when you may feel overawed with angst or tension; despondent, grieving or struggling with relationship disputes. I recognise how that feels and the complications that may follow.

I offer a fifteen minute no obligation call during which time, I will introduce myself and you can determine what you want to focus on and what to expect from our sessions together. I believe that the relationship between a counsellor and client is fundamental to the counselling process. Choosing the right counsellor for you is key to our work together. Together we will work with whatever is concerning you, I will support you to help you find a greater understanding, clarity, and peace of mind.

Who I work with: I have experience working with clients, children and young people and couples.

How I deliver sessions: I offer 50 minute sessions Online or telephone. My hours are flexible and I also offer limited weekend sessions to suit you. Ask for further information.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
