About me

Hello, I am Jade an Adults, Children &Young people  Counsellor. Looking for counselling or the right counsellor can feel a bit daunting at times, but you are already taking a positive step towards your goal and looking after your emotional wellbeing. 

Sometimes our emotions can feel like a tangled ball of string or maybe your experiencing difficult life issues that's become overwhelming and need support? It's not always easy to talk to friends or family and you may be questioning who can I talk to? 

I am a Person Centred Counsellor however I embrace everyone’s uniqueness and individual needs therefore, I also work with an integrative approach keeping your needs at the forefront of my focus. I offer online and telephone counselling services to maximise your comfort and convenience. Together we can explore the issues you are experiencing difficulty with, my aim is to support and listen to you whilst providing a safe, empathic, non-judgemental and confidential space. Empowering and equipping you with the 'tools' you need to work towards a brighter, more positive future. Enabling you to make the changes you want to make because I believe everyone has the ability to grow and change. I offer long and short-term therapy based on your needs, I would love to help you unravel that tangled ball of string to alleviate the distress your experiencing.

I have worked with many issues with adults, children and young people and spent the last year specialising in working with Loss & Grief whilst also working in other areas. I believe finding the right counsellor for you is an important part of your therapeutic journey. I offer a free initial consultation where we can discuss your needs,  what you would like to achieve from counselling, give you the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the counselling process further. There is no pressure to make any decisions to book with me after the consultation.

I have worked with CASY as a children and young people's counsellor at both the in house setting and as a school counsellor

I have worked with Tonic Health as a counsellor, offering counselling services to services users with a range of issues.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
