About me

Hi, I am Helen

I offer an open and inclusive space to over-thinkers and high achievers. Those with the feeling that whilst life might (or might not!) look good, something is missing.

What issues do I work with?

Anything really….. but most of my clients come to me feeling one of the emotions below:

*A Loss of sense of who you are,
*Stress driven by a fear you can’t quite put your finger on
*Anxiety and overthinking
*Loneliness and isolation
*Feeling so overwhelmed that you can’t find space for happiness.
*Being trapped in a life of your own design that you no longer like
*A crushing feeling of sadness and hopelessness.

In your counselling sessions, you are not your job nor the roles you have played in life.  My part to play in the counselling process is about finding the right balance for you between  “I hear you” and “let’s figure this out”.

Sometimes we need time and space to pause, get some clarity and awareness of where the anxiety and depression comes from and then choose your way forward, with less stress and with increased resilience.

So if you’re ready to be brave and untangle your life, I’m ready to empower you to live your life the way you want to live it and do what makes you feel happy. I look forward to meeting you.

Some testimonials from recent clients are below:

“ A breath of fresh air. “

“Guided by Helen’s calm and approachable nature, I was able to open up, process and see clarity in past trauma that I had hidden for years.

I looked forward to weekly meets with Helen. She helped me lift a dark cloud that often felt all consuming. Non judgemental, personalised therapy sessions have brought clarity and freedom - I am very grateful.

Thank you for being patient, kind and understanding. Your time & expertise has made a huge impact and I will forever acknowledge the value of our sessions”

Female, 34

"Right from the first session, Helen has made me feel at ease and comfortable to talk about anything. She is a great listener, but the real value I found in talking with Helen was the understanding she has helped me build in myself, my needs and my life. My perspectives have shifted and I feel more confident in handling traumatic experiences. I hope everyone finds a Helen that can help them in a similar way."

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have significant experience in working with grief.  The loss of a loved one has a dramatic effect of those left behind. Sometimes it doesn’t feel possible to know how to move forwards and carry on living life. Counselling offers a valuable spaced to fully explore our feelings and work out a way to carry on.

I have lived experience and work with clients who experience sudden loss or who are impacted by suicide.
