About me

I am currently working using Zoom, Skype, What's app and phone I am hoping to resume Face to Face therapy when it is safe to do so.

I have 14 years experience working as a Therapist, and have training in three different approaches, which means I can work flexibly with you .I am always updating my knowledge and skills to offer the best quality therapy possible.

If you are struggling with life choices, feeling low, anxious or having difficulties with relationships, therapy can help you to find clarity, confidence, explore the things or people affecting you and to cope or address situations.

You can expect counselling to give you a place to talk about how you feel, your experiences, thoughts and responses to situations. My role is to work with you, so that these things are shared in a confidential space, and you are not alone with them. I do not judge your choices or decisions, but listen carefully to help you to a better understanding of them.

I understand your perspective, bearing in mind the developmental experiences that shape your emotional world and your adult adaptations to these. We do not have to spend a long time looking at your childhood, but the people you grew up with affect the way you perceive the world, so it is useful for us both to understand this context.

My job is to see things from your point of view, to give emotional support and empower you to make changes, take control, to adapt or cope; as you decide and at your pace.

By offering you a warm and accepting relationship I can give you the space to reflect and gain new perspectives.

Counselling can be long or short term. I offer a free initial 20 minute session, to meet and connect, from here we can decide to continue and progress. You can make an arrangement ,which we can review as often as you would like.

EMDR therapy works differently and is structured with 8 phases .If you are interested in therapy for Post traumatic stress please feel free to contact me for further information.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
