Supervision details
I can offer a warm, supportive supervisory relationship, collaborating as professionals to support your practice, and personal and professional development . I aim to provide a reflective session, where you can gain insights into your work and process, to increase your effectiveness and attunement to your clients. I believe building confidence and offering empathy, with the struggles of the therapy profession , are part of the supervision. I aim to offer a space where mistakes can be made sense of, and are welcomed as part of learning, where there are no stupid questions and we can foster mutual respect and collaboration.
Let’s find insights, blind spots, and stuck bits together. Let’s reflect and explore your process when you are with a client, look at why you decided to do that, offer this or not. Bring your worries, your woes, your vulnerability or loneliness to supervision. Let’s find out together, with my role, being an outside observer, helping you to find the answers and the questions you seek.
I being a wealth of experience working in charities such as Rape Crisis, Refugee forum or even my own CIC, set up to deliver low cost therapy, learning from my role with IAPT in the NHS and developing my own private practice, with EAP referrals and private clients.
Theoretically I bring Psychodynamic, person centered, EMDR and humanistic therapy qualifications gained as a post graduate. I can offer knowledge in working with ACEs, PTS/D, as well as Depression, Anxiety, Esteem, relationships and many other issues brought to therapy. I work with people experiencing common mental health issues, as well as more complex trauma and short and long term therapy.
I am happy to work with the new and emerging therapist or the more experienced. I aim to be responsive to issues between sessions, if there is an urgency, and to support with practical or professional development needs.I enjoy collaborative working and I welcome enquiries or offer an initial free meeting to discuss your requirements.
I look forward to hearing from you.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
