About me

Hello, I'm Emma,

Firstly thank you for visiting my site, during what I imagine isn't an easy time for you.

I am a kind, friendly, warm hearted person. I am qualified integrative counsellor, who specialises in Eating Disorders, although also working with many different challenges you may be facing. Such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, work related concerns and many more.

I work in a way that is supportive and enables us to work together to look at, explore and help resolve your struggles. By drawing across several therapeutic models when working with you ensures that I am able to meet your needs individually as everyone's experiences of life is unique.

Working in Chard, or remotely anywhere in the UK. I provide counselling for adults of all ages 16+ and can offer both short term and long term therapy.

I came to counselling through my own experiences in life becoming a counsellor to help support others at times in their lives, when you may need a place to be heard, be understood and supported. A place in which you can come to, where we can look at areas of your life that you may be struggling with. This may be thoughts, behaviours, feelings or situations that are causing you distress in your everyday life. It may be past events or a general feeling of being lost or disconnected from ourselves.

With what it maybe that you are experiencing I can offer you a warm, safe, confidential space, that is non-judgemental and we can work together to find new ways of coping or to come to a place of better understanding and clarity.

Getting started.....

If you think that I may be able to help you, please email (emmatrebblecounselling@outlook.com) or telephone me on (07392706836) to arrange an initial 30 minute appointment, where we can meet each other to talk about what you would like to get from counselling, and you can decide if I am the right Counsellor for you. If you are happy to continue, I will book a first session and we will arrange to meet weekly.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
