About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapist and clinical supervisor working with adolescents, adults and couples.

Some of life's experiences and what it is to be human can leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, confused, angry, frightened or ashamed. Counselling is a way of making sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Through exploration with someone who is trained to listen, understand and ask the right questions we start to understand ourselves and our relationship with others better. On a deeper level psychotherapy can lead to an enhanced sense of self and greater meaning and purpose. No matter how challenging life can be I trust that anything can be worked through so that it is possible to live a happier and more fulfilled life.

I offer a welcoming, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore current or past issues. My aim is to help you make sense of what is troubling you and help you find possible ways forward.

It can sometimes feel daunting talking to a stranger about your thoughts and feelings and therefore important to find someone you feel comfortable with. I offer a free 15-30 minute telephone consultation to discuss why you might want counselling, what you would like to get out of it and to explain how I work.

Training, qualifications & experience

My initial training is as an integrative psychotherapist which means I draw on various models of therapy to suit each individual client.  The models I use are psychodynamic, person-centred, existential, transpersonal, Gestalt and CBT.  The transpersonal model involves using creative imagination, symbols, archetypes, the elements, dreams, guided visualisation, drawing and writing.

Since qualifying in 2014 I have undertaken other training to develop my practice and understanding.

I have a Diploma in Astrological Psychology. Your astrological chart (based on your birth date, time, date and place) is a way of understanding yourself and how you function in the world.

I have a Certificate in Supervision from CSTD.

Other trainings include transgender, autism, trauma/PTSD, dream analysis.
