About me

Hello and welcome to my profile.

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself, and you're seeking to improve your mental health and understand yourself better, you've come to the right place. Life’s challenges can be daunting, but you don’t have to face them alone.

As a specialist in online person-centred therapy, my mission is to help you enhance your mental well-being and uncover your inner strengths. I believe in celebrating and respecting your uniqueness, and together, we will create a nurturing and safe environment to tackle the challenges you face.

Our work will delve into how your personal experiences intersect with various aspects of your identity, including gender, sexual and relationship diversity, social background, age, religion, ethnicity, ability, neurodiversity, health, heritage, education, and political beliefs.

My path to becoming a counsellor was inspired by my own transformative therapy experiences. I wanted to provide others with the same hope, respect, and unconditional support that I received. In our sessions, my goal is to help you recognize your inner strengths, embrace your unique journey, and achieve the positive changes you desire.

Your journey is central, and I am honored to accompany you. What brings you here today? Take control of your well-being and reach out; let’s explore how therapy can empower you.

I am a qualified online counsellor, primarily using Microsoft Teams for our sessions. This platform allows you to participate from the comfort of your home or car, where you might feel more at ease with a pet nearby or a soothing drink. Teams is user-friendly, compatible with phones, laptops, and tablets, and provides end-to-end encryption.

For those who prefer not to use video, phone therapy is an excellent option. It relies less on a strong internet connection and can alleviate the anxiety some feel about being on camera. I also offer email therapy through ProtonMail, a highly secure and confidential service. This method allows for deeper reflection and considered responses, as you can write at a time that suits you best.

As an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Level 2 Professional Member of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online (ACTO), I adhere to strict ethical guidelines. I am committed to maintaining confidentiality and providing a safe, professional space for you to talk. I continually update my knowledge through the latest research and training, ensuring compliance with data security legislation.

We can arrange a free 15-minute conversation via Teams or phone to get to know each other. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and share a bit about what has brought you here. Finding the right support is crucial, and there is no obligation to continue after our initial meeting.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
