About me
People seek counselling to help them deal with life's ups and downs. Maybe you've found yourself here because you feel stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed - or because of an unexpected life event.
Life can be challenging, throwing us curve balls and knocking us off guard, and sometimes, we need a little help. Having experience working with complex issues and challenging situations with people from all backgrounds, I understand how difficult life can be.
I work using a person-centred and humanistic method. I help you learn about yourself and gain empathy and acceptance for yourself and others. Sessions are in person or online. As your therapist, I will support and structure your sessions to help you discover your solution to your problems. I offer you a free consultation at your convenience.
I, too, have had traumatic life events; as a child of parents with addiction issues and experiencing childhood trauma, I understand how it shaped my early life and the choices I made, which is why I am passionate about helping others.

Counselling is a tool to help you find hope and work through your struggles. It's normal to feel vulnerable and uneasy, but as your counsellor, I will create a safe and caring space for you to open up.
You'll be able to overcome negative thoughts and patterns and start seeing positive changes in your life. Remember that it takes time and effort, but you'll always have the support you need.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I offer open-ended counselling with different plans to suit different client needs.
Free Phone or Online Consultation: This is a one-off 15-minute phone session to discuss your needs and agree on an approach.
Introductory Block: Six sessions for £240, £40 per session, to people new to therapy. Either face-to-face in Bishop Stortford or online
Block of 10: 10 sessions, minimum once per week. £50 per session. £500 total. Can be paid in 2 payments
Open-Ended: book weekly in advance; each session is £60. Pay as you go
Concessions are available for emergency services, police, fire and all NHS workers.
