About me
Sometimes we all reach that point in our lives where we feel we could look to make different choices. Doing this can generate lots of feelings, such as anxiety and stress before even the thought of trying to implement them. This is something I could guide and support you to achieve.
Coping with life's stresses and changes can be challenging and overwhelming at times, too difficult to make sense of it all. I offer a friendly, open space where you can feel free to talk about anything that concerns you.
Prior to studying counselling, the two attributes which I saw as positives were not asking for help and not talking about feelings, doing so would mean the ultimate betrayal of being masculine.
I have gone from seeing help as a weakness, to come full circle and feel it is the bravest thing, to ask someone for help and support to make different life choices.
Our mental being can contribute to how we feel generally but also impact how we feel on a physical level. We want to get fit so we run or go to the gym. So why not try joining a gym of the mind, when helping to implement making different decisions in our lives. Feeling good about ourlselves can lead to general improvements, including our physical well being.
We may or may not be aware changes when they occur in our lives, but not always know the root cause of these. Resulting in not being sure about how to identify and try and negotiate these , which I can support you, to help you implement.
I offer a holistic and person centred approach to the individual. I have worked for nearly 4 years as a bereavement counsellor with Cruse, who also deal with loss.
Previously I worked in the care sector for over 20 years, and feel I have the necessary skill set and experience to help others.
I am a member of National Counselling Profession, fully insured with upto date DBS checks.
